CLIMB Wyoming, a non-profit organization, trains and places low-income single mothers in careers that successfully support their families.
For more than 25 years, CLIMB Wyoming has provided participants with employer-driven job training and placement, life skills and parenting training, counseling and the support necessary to ensure self-sufficiency and economic security for generations to come.
More than 25 years ago, I saw a need in Wyoming. I witnessed single mothers who were determined to make a better life for their children, but a lack of opportunities hindered their ability to see beyond the struggles they constantly faced. I knew we could – and HAD to – figure this out.
From the first program in 1986, we learned something new every day. As a team and with the input of the moms, we discovered that the combination of services created the most success: job training, mental health services, parenting and relationship skills training, connecting with community resources and employers, culminating in strong employment opportunities that set us apart from all other training programs. As our outcomes attest, CLIMB Wyoming works and has even been recognized nationally as a best-practice model.
CLIMB Wyoming is built upon the strength of the single mothers who participated in the program. These women have honored me with their trust and allowed me to walk alongside them in their journey. The experience has changed my life, and these women are changing Wyoming one family at a time.
