Hosted by Terri Burgess Sandu, Executive Director of Workforce Development for Lorain County Community College, the Forum was held to initiate a collaborative that will address needs of single mothers in that region through a STEM careers job training program.

CLIMB shared historical knowledge and best practices with a room of nearly 100 constituents, including politicians, government agencies, educators and service providers.  CLIMB also joined smaller groups over the two days to give input and answer questions.

Of particular interest to this group was CLIMB’s success at developing career trainings and relationships with employers, our mom-focused approach and our therapeutic model and culture.  Our final conversation with the group focused on CLIMB’s commitment to building a trustful, non-judgmental and respectful environment with our participants and each other.

We look forward to following their evolution!
